Jurisdiction and Responsibilities

Campus and Property Coverage

CSUPD officers have jurisdiction over all university-owned grounds, including properties and campuses listed on the official CSU map. Their primary focus is on ensuring safety and responding to incidents across:

• Main Campus
• South Campus
• Foothills Campus

Additionally, CSUPD provides coverage for university-owned properties near I-25 and Prospect Road and other CSU properties in Fort Collins.

Expanded Jurisdiction

Beyond CSU campuses, CSUPD officers have jurisdiction in Fort Collins and Larimer County, allowing them to:

• Assist other agencies on calls throughout the city and county.
• Participate in joint efforts, such as DUI patrols and other collaborative projects.
• Respond to incidents or make contacts while en route to other locations.
