Colorado State University police officers have jurisdiction on all University owned grounds, including our campuses noted on the university map. In addition, CSUPD officers have jurisdiction in Fort Collins and Larimer County.

Below is a heat map of CSUPD’s contacts from Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2019. This shows CSUPD’s primary focus on campuses, including responses to our multiple campuses and properties in Fort Collins. CSUPD responds to properties owned by CSU near I-25 and Prospect Road, for example. In addition, CSUPD assists other agencies on calls throughout the city and county.

This heat map shows CSUPD officer interactions from Jan. 1, 2017, to Dec. 31, 2019. The vast majority of interactions are centered on the university’s main campus, south campus and foothills campus. In addition, CSUPD responds to calls to university properties along I-25 and Prospect Road, as well as other university-owned properties. This map also shows CSUPD responses to help other agencies in the city and county as needed, as well as contacts on joint projects and patrols such as DUI patrols. Finally, CSUPD officers also may contact anyone while they are enroute to other locations.
