Police Officer/Trainee

  • Recruitment open from March 25th through April 15th
  • Structured App Review April 16th
    • CSUPD will review Application Materials to determine which candidates will move forward in the recruitment process.
  • Oral Boards April 24th
    • Oral Boards are a structured interview that are conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.
  • Panel Interview May 2nd
    • Panel Interviews allow us to bring candidates to campus to interview with a departmental and campus representation. You will be notified of your status the day after interviews are concluded.
  • Week of May 6th,  time to complete Background Packet, due May 10th.
    • A week will be provided to complete the background check packet required for CSUPD to perform a comprehensive background check of candidates.
  • 4 weeks for background checks
    • Background checks are the longest part of the process. You will need to be available to take calls and answer information as needed during this time.
  • Week of June 3rd, conditional offers
    • Conditional offers will be sent to candidates. Candidates that receive a conditional offer are required to complete a physical examination/agility test, drug test, polygraph, and psychological examination.
  • Final offers made after completion of all required exams.
    • Final offers will be made to candidates that complete the conditional offer requirements.
