Battery Jump Pack
Our officers are unable to jump dead batteries directly due to risk of damage to the complex electrical system in each patrol vehicle.
If your vehicle’s battery has died, you may check out a jump pack from the front desk of the CSU Police Department with a valid ID.
The entrance to the CSUPD front desk is located on the west side of Green Hall, 750 S Meridian Ave.
Offered seven days a week from dusk until dawn, our Campus Service Officers are available to walk with you any place on a university campus to another campus location or within a three block radius of a campus, including the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, and Foothills Campus.
Keys Locked in Vehicle
The CSU Police Department may only assist with keys locked in vehicles for the following emergency situations:
- Child locked in vehicle
- Medication locked in vehicle
- Extenuating circumstances
For non-emergencies you will need to contact a private locksmith service.
VIN – or vehicle identification number – certifications are required by state regulations in a variety of situations to ensure that a vehicle is not stolen or pieced together from stolen parts.
VIN certifications are $50 (cash or check) and take approximately an hour to complete.
