We will not accept ticket payment in loose coins.

Failure to pay the ticket will result in the fine doubling. Delinquent faculty and staff fines will be doubled and deducted from responsible employee’s paycheck. Delinquent student fines will be doubled and billed to student account. Delinquent non-affiliate fines will be doubled and sent to CSU Accounts Receivable.

Appeals – Bicycle Citation

  1. A written appeal must be filed to the TEEP Coordinator within 14 calendar days of issuance of the Bicycle Violation Notice. Initiation of an appeal stays the penalty until ruling is made, an Appeals Board will consider the written appeal and information on the notice, including written comments by the officer, and make a decision to uphold the charge or dismiss the notice. Written appeals will be considered during the next scheduled appeals session, The person appealing will be notified of the decision by email.
  2. CSU Police Department allows only one appeal per citation. The appeal board’s ruling is final. A hearing fee of $15 will be assessed by the hearing referee for each citation that is upheld in the hearing process. This fee will be assessed in addition to the amount of the fine for the violation.
  3. If fine and/or fees are found due as a result of the appeal process they must be paid at CSUPD by the payment due date provided on the notice of appeals results. Any unpaid fines and/or fees following the due date will be doubled and forwarded to Colorado State University Accounting Services for collections.

Appeals – Bicycle Impound

Impoundment appeals are handled in the same manner as Bicycle Violation Notice appeals. A bicycle owner may make a written appeal to recover any fees that were charged as a result of his or her bicycle being impounded. To be able to file an appeal, fees and fines must be paid prior to the bicycle being released.
