Requirements and instructions

• You must supply your own lock.
• Other weapons (e.g. sword, fencing equipment, archery bows, paintball guns, taser guns, slingshots, etc.) must also be stored at CSUPD.
• If applicable, weapons should be put in a protective case, preferably a hard case with a luggage tag with your information.
• CSUPD will not store explosives of any nature, including ammunition, fireworks or flammable liquids. All of which are strictly prohibited in the residence halls and on campus. 
• Firearms may be checked in or out 24 hours, 7 days a week; plan ahead and allow for a 30-45-minute wait time. Officer availability is limited after business hours and may cause extensive delays.
• Upon checking in a firearm, you must bring a photo ID for identification purposes. A pick-up tag with the firearm information will be given to you at the time of check-in. Photo ID and firearm tag are mandatory for weapon pick-up.
• You MUST pick up your weapon(s) on or before the last day of the spring semester. Failure to do so may result in the disposal of your weapon.
